How does scoring work?
Every hit is judged as Perfect, Early, Late, or Miss based on timing accuracy. Your grade (D through S) is based on consistency over your last 20 hits, not just raw score.
Can I use my own MIDI controller?
Yes — Rudiment auto-learns most MPC-style and MIDI drum controllers. If your device isn't mapped correctly, use MIDI Learn in Settings to teach Rudiment your controller's exact pad layout.
Can I load my own drum sounds?
Yes, via Settings → Load Your Own Samples. Supports WAV, AIFF, MP3, M4A, and FLAC files.
What's Acoustic Mode?
A beta feature that listens to a real acoustic kit through your device's microphone and judges kick, snare, and closed hihat hits directly. It needs a quick calibration to your specific kit and room before use.
